Good morning, y’all! I have a big writing target today. My goal is to finish my Divine Nine rewrite by the end of September. Things are going great so far. What are you working on?

I’m working on refining pages 124-130 of Fraudulent this week with the input of my writer’s group. I’m also working on writing 2000 words this week in my other manuscript, Deceitful. Finally, I’m targeting 10 literary agents I’ve yet to query in Query Tracker by the end of August in an effort to get a deal for Fraudulent.

I’m reading and commenting on scripts from my last workshop. And trying to get the writers on our current production to write more professionally!

So I was asked by my editor to do a rewrite of The Divine Nine back in ’21, and honestly, I hated the idea. I didn’t want to do a retread of the same thing. But I couldn’t figure out how to do something different, until recently. I’ve NEVER missed a deadline, but my editor recognized that I just couldn’t get motivated to redo what I’d done.…

Asked @april-ross to do a squat to see if she still had good knees. My girl rolled off about a good ten squats. I think she has about ninety left in her soul, but still…I was impressed!

It just dawned on me: We wouldn’t be in this mess if MTV hadn’t greenlit The Real World, starting the genre of reality television. That’s one helluva butterfly effect happening.
