So I was asked by my editor to do a rewrite of The Divine Nine back in ’21, and honestly, I hated the idea. I didn’t want to do a retread of the same thing. But I couldn’t figure out how to do something different, until recently. I’ve NEVER missed a deadline, but my editor recognized that I just couldn’t get motivated to redo what I’d done. She loved my new approach, and so, now I’m energized. Glad I did it because you only get so many shots to write.
