The cancellation of The Late Show in May of 2026 to me screams higher ups appeasing Trump in order to get that Paramount Skydance merger approved (Still pending FCC approval) also with the approval of public broadcasting getting funds gutted it is a scary time for media in my opinion.

It’s basically showing why reporting failed to knock out Trump from the start. They have no interest in the public interest. And I don’t think, even as a former reporter myself, that we’ve come to grips with that.

You know, I got three episodes into the first season of Squid Games and never came back. I don’t know. It was a great concept to me, but I didn’t really wanna see folks just randomly get killed over and over.

What we are seeing with The Big Beautiful Bill becoming law is we are witnessing in real time in my opinion a two tier caste system in this country with it being just rich and poor. The ladder for the middle class is being cut while folks are climbing. Also with the cuts to SNAP/MA people are going to be struggling more for basic necessities…
