We're in a very dark and dangerous time...
I say this in my Blackballed lecture. White supremacy is about normalizing cruelty. Because it they can do that, they can kill you.
If you wanna know why speaking out is essential, this is it. Right now, they’re ‘normalizing’ a white supremacist, with state approval.
If you think about it, this whole Trump administration has been a direct assault on Black people.
From DOGE killing jobs, many of which were held by Black women. The Black unemployment rate is skyrocketing. Attacks on diversity, equity, and inclusion prevent Black people from being seen as competent and qualified. Affirmative actions killed. Access to PWIs is restricted.
See that stunt at TSU? Ignore the hysterics. That was a probing attack to see how Black students would react. They’re setting the stage and giving a silent high sign to people who will do us harm: Here’s where to hit.
Because just as there’s no reason for HBCUs to get death threats for a white supremacist getting killed by another white guy, in white ass Utah, there’s no reason for these Turning Point dudes to come to an HBCUs.
We’re in a VERY dark and dangerous period, and I fully expect that something Black will be hit very soon. A Black neighborhood, an iconic Black space like the National African American Museum, something Black is gonna be hit with violence.
This country isn’t that far from white race riots that were provoked by rumors, gossip, half-truths, and straight-out lies. I wouldn’t put it beyond the descendants of some of those people to try to spark another white race riot or violent action in the near future.
