(I wrote this poem as part of a series of writings for a class I took in the fall.)
Not gonna lie,
I once longed to be
blonde haired
and blue eyed.
A prayer blessedly
denied.

80's Rom Com Songs
I just saw a dumb article with a top 18 list of songs. #1 was In Your Eyes from Say Anything, that’s solud, but I take issue with #11 being Crazy for You from Vision Quest i have no memory of the movie, but lots of memories were made to the song!!! 🤣🥳🤩

If you had to choose which era’s had the best music in terms of A) important messages and B) best memories …
For me it’s 70’s for importance and 80’s for best memories,

The 70s had a lot of bangers, but I think the 80s is the memories because it was when I was a teen.

80s for me, definitely. Interestingly though the messages of the 30s and 40s music were important at the time. Uplifting and patriotic during the war, the songs brought people together and cheered up troops. And in later years, when those folks had Alzheimers the music soorhed them, because those were times they could remember. Speaking…

South Africa...
April and I are planning to purchase property in South Africa, and eventually, move there. Nothing immediate, but in this decade. Anyone have any experience living there? We’ll take our first trip this year.
